Mary Daurio

On a personal level, I am a flute-playing grandmother taking a creative writing degree at university. My short stories and poems have been published online and in print. Presently, I have two fictional novels and a memoir about my time racing horses that are nearly ready to move out from home. My smile brightened last year upon receiving a highly commended accolade from the Jane Austen Short Story contest.

If you wish, check out some of my writing here by clicking the writing tag above and then clicking the bolded title of your choice.

If you're interested, get in touch. I would be thrilled if you selected me to write something for a publication or anthology. But being a ghostwriter or having the privilege to read and edit your work would have its own particular joy. If simply reading my selected works is your desire, that would make me happy as well. Enjoy and be well, Mary.

Expertise Creative fiction, nonfiction and poetry in the writing department. A cool head in a fix if ever needed.

Skills Writing characters and emotions. Being empathetic and seeing both sides of a situation. Mother, retired nurse and Standardbred race horse driver, with a great sense of humour. I have a keen eye, write a good critique and can edit fairly well.

Location Somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere.
